Tales From The Trails - ALS 50km Run

3 fellas running the Greenway, for something they believe in.
Two Windsor-Essex County ultramarathoners and one from Burlington are hitting the ground running to help raise awareness and funds for Amyotrophic Lateral Sclerosis (ALS) – a cause close to their hearts.
On May 9, 2015, Kyle Wallace, Jamie Waldron, and Jay Thompson will be running from Kingsville to Windsor, utilizing sections of the Greenway Trail, to raise funds for ALS, an illness commonly referred to as Lou Gehrig’s disease.
All proceeds will go towards Windsor-Essex County ALS Society.
ALS is a progressive and fatal neurodegenerative disease that, in its late stages, completely paralyzes sufferers. ALS is not a rare disease. About 1,500-2,000 Canadians have ALS, and about 450 new cases occur every year.
